Whether you are signing up for online videos, joining Katya for private or group classes at her beautiful studio, or registering for an instructor training course, you have found the right place to undertake a transformative and uplifting Pilates journey tailored to meet your specific requirements.
Katya Kinski’s impressive history as a Russian ballerina formed the perfect backdrop to the next twenty-five years spent teaching, living, and breathing Pilates. Her comprehensive training and experience includes numerous specialist courses (Spinal Biomechanics, Scoliosis, Shoulder Rehab, SI Joint Dysfunction, Fascial Fitness, Kinetic Precision, and Lyno®, to name a few). About Katya Kinski
In a world dominated by franchises and rigid teaching systems, the Kinski Method stands apart. It offers a highly individualised and effective approach, grounded in deep anatomical knowledge and adaptable to each client’s unique needs.
Blending classical Pilates with the biomechanics and precision of Russian ballet (Vaganova method), incorporating diverse breathing techniques, and recognising that posture reflects emotional health, Katya Kinski has developed a distinctive approach. Known for her humour, vivid imagery, and ability to make complex concepts accessible, Katya makes the learning experience both inspiring and unforgettable.
Just like fingerprints, spinal curvatures, goals, limitations, learning styles are unique to each individual. Recognising and respecting these variations is essential to applying Joseph Pilates’s timeless principles while integrating modern movement science. The safety and effectiveness of the Kinski Method have been refined through a quarter century of collaboration with doctors, physiotherapists, chiropractors, biokineticists and sports coaches.
The spacious studio is located in a quiet street in upper Camps Bay with beautiful views.
The space is fully equipped with every possible piece of Pilates apparatus, both large and small
(Reformers, Cadillacs, Wonder Chair, rollers, balls, and much more).
The best gift for a beginner is a starter pack of four private or semi-private lessons. For a seasoned ‘Pilatean’,
a month of group classes, or a private lesson using all the apparatus, is sure to tick all the boxes.
Alternatively, you can elect a specific amount for your loved one and allow them to make a personal choice
regarding how to spend it. You may also wish to assist someone in making a life/career change by gifting
them a Pilates Academy SA Instructors Course gift voucher.
