SPECIAL CONDITIONS FOR NEWCOMERS
If you are a complete beginner we require a minimum of 4 private or semi-private sessions prior to
joining any group classes to cover the basic Pilates principles.
Irrespective of when during the month you join the studio for the first time, you can pay the starter pack of minimum 4 private sessions. In this way you will get a chance to see if Pilates is your “cup of tea” and if you would like to commit to monthly payments thereafter.
MEDICAL CLEARANCE
Please note that, as with all exercise programmes, doctor’s clearance is advised. Where rehabilitation
from injury is foremost, your medical practitioner should provide written permission, a full report and
recommendations. Pilates has to be taught step by step. Not all exercises are suitable for all people and appropriate modifications are often required. A doctor’s report will ensure we are fully aware of your strengths and limitations so that we may assist you in achieving your goals safely and effectively.
INTERMEDIATE/ADVANCED PILATES GROUP CLASSES
Our classes are well known for their safe approach, upbeat pace and sense of fun. They are attended by many athletes, as well as clients with average fitness levels who enjoy a challenge and love having fun while exercising. The core focus will always be on postural balance and alignment. Each class is designed to exercise every joint in the body, while accessing muscles you may never have realised you have. We aim to help our clients establish proper technique, build strength and increase flexibility within safe personal limits. You will enjoy a combination of functional exercises, complimented by the use of a variety of Pilates equipment. The choice of exercises varies for each class, and the sessions are guaranteed to raise your heart rate and bring a smile to your face.
